Valley Oaks Bay Breeze

Breezey, the intrepid 18-year-old bay gelding who can do it all, sold to Joan Kobara. He has returned to his birthplace in Central California as a mount for a young rider. He was looking pretty delighted in his new home! We owned Breezey for about ten years and did everything, from teampenning, to swimming in the creek, to showing English and Western. He is now enjoying semi-retirement!

Dawn Wind's Drumbeat

Dawn Wind's Drumbeat, our 6 y.o. cutting gelding sold to Jeniffer Conditto of Wentzville, MO. He will join Dawn Wind's Kin-Ring, living the good life of trail ridings, Parelli schooling, and historical re-enactments. Also, team-penning is a new adventure for Drum and Jennifer! We wish them lots of fun and partnership.

Dawn Wind's Fort Knox

Dawn Wind's Fort Knox (Toroy Mist's Golden Master X Triple S Berry Knox), or "Blade," is happily owned By Dawn Tucker, of Idaho. She took and sent these photos to us so we could see this pretty colt's progress. Dawn takes him on trail-rides with her friends, as you can see. She says he is a sweet colt to be around and is beautiful. He is her first Morgan. Knowing Blade has such a loving home makes our hearts fill with joy!! Dawn says "he is doing well."

Cut'n'Spin Natural Wonder

Natty came to us from Willow Brown, in Park City, Montana. Willow cut on her sire, Bessia Joe McCool. Natty is a typey and feminine mare of a very affectionate nature. She treads carefully on the rocks and rough stuff, so we are seeing a good mind. Her trainer wanted her for his personal rope horse, and he, Toby Campbell, is a successful rope horse trainer. This mare produced a beautiful colt for us in 2008.

Natty is in foal to Blackhat's Royal Prince for 2010. This will be a concentating of Illiniwek blood, plus Jubilee King lines through Red Vermont. Natty is being ridden on the trails and in the arena. Her gaits are as smooth as silk. If the right person came along we would sell her. Having a few less mares would be more practical for us. She would be a treasure for anyone looking for Warhawk or Illiniwek lines to enhance their breeding program. Our price for her is $2500. A safe trail mount and a linebred Flyhawk foal coming, from a magnificent stallion; that's a great price!'

Dawn Wind's Desert Gem (Congratulations to Jeff and Karyn Johnson!)

This sturdy, yet elegant filly is coming four. She has had groundwork and saddling, with some riding, as a 3 year old. In 2009 we are already beginning more riding and bomb-proofing, as we normally do with youngsters. She is showing herself to be very steady and good-minded, plus very kind-natured. Gem is strongly-built and very sure-footed. She should live to a ripe old age without any lameness problems, due to her genetics and her age at being ridden and worked. This filly carries a strong percentage of Red Correll, Merry Ethan, and Hillview Jubilee, as well as crosses to Windcrest Music Man and his family lines. She is being offered at private treaty to a good home only. Her pedigree can be seen here.
